Parts Counter

Transwest is seeking a motivated individual looking to learn retail sales of medium and heavy duty truck parts as a Parts Counter Sales Trainee.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to customers who either visit the dealership or call.
Maintain familiarity with all inventory products, merchandising programs and ordering systems.
Utilize and maintain parts technical resources with the most current information.
Understand dealership credit policies.
Acknowledge customer(s) as soon as possible upon arrival.
Research parts and process paperwork as needed.
Communicate with clients and vendors.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Requires frequent sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling and crouching.
Required to lift up to 85 lbs.
Normal range hearing and vision.
Required manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for data input.
May be required to operate equipment such as a forklift or manual pallet jack in a safe manner at all times.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
High School diploma or equivalent. 
Knowledge of computers is a must.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Detail oriented.
Strong desire to learn the industry!
Ability to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.

Service Technician

JOB PURPOSE:
Transwest of Torrington is looking for experienced Ford  Automotive Technicians who are looking for the opportunity to maximize their income potential and have a proven track record. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform work as outlined in repair order with efficiency, accuracy and in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
Save and tag parts if warranty.
Advise shop foreman immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the time period promised.
Document all work performance.
Road test vehicles when required to quality check work performed.
Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
Ensure that customer vehicles are kept clean.
Keep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership owned tools at all times.
Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations governing the disposal of hazardous waste.
Perform functions and duties of the job that may require additional or different tasks to be performed when circumstances change (i.e., emergencies, changes in personnel, workload, rush jobs or technology developments).
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Required to perform work inside and outside, in all-weather situations, at the shop division location.
Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
Manual dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 80 lbs.
Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery.
Normal range of hearing and vision.
 
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with good standing MVR.
Previous automotive service technician experience required.
Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent experience.
Ford Dealership experience and certifications preferred.
ASE Certification or ability to obtain certification.
Familiarity with all aspects of gas and diesel truck repair and maintenance including; engine repair, transmission repair, drivability and electrical diagnostics, suspension, brake systems, etc.
Candidate must possess a complete set of hand tools with rollaway toolbox.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Detail oriented.
Ability to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.

Lube Tech

JOB PURPOSE:
Transwest has an immediate opening for a Lube Tech. The Lube Tech's primary responsibility will be fluid checks and basic maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Greet and interact with customers.
· Change vehicle oil.
· Check the transmission fluid and other fluid levels.
· Inspect various belts and filters and check air levels and gauges.
· Rotate tires. (training will be provided, but candidates should at least have a basic understanding of car maintenance)
· Write up service reports and receipts for work completed.
· Perform work as outlined in repair order with efficiency and accuracy and in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
· Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
· Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
· Save and tag parts for warranty.
· Advise shop foreman immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the time period promised.
